Ocean Controls GWY-141 Vantage Pro2 Modbus RTU Interface

The Ocean Controls GWY-141 Modbus to Davis Vantage Pro2 Weather Station Gateway allows you to easily connect your PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), RTU (remote telemetry unit) or SCADA System to one of the following Davis weather stations:

• 6152 Cabled Vantage Pro 2
• 6162 Cabled Vantage Pro 2 Plus
• 6152 Wireless Vantage Pro 2
• 6162 Wireless Vantage Pro 2 Plus
• 6153 Wireless Vantage Pro 2 Fan Aspirated
• 6163 Wireless Vantage Pro 2 Plus Fan Aspirated
• 6316 Wireless Weather Envoy (with Wireless ISS, ISS Plus, ISS Solar Fan Aspirated or ISS Plus Solar Fan Aspirated)

The gateway plugs into the weather station’s console using the Davis 6510SER serial port data logger and appears on the Modbus network as a Modbus RTU slave. This allows your programmable controller to monitor and carry out actions based on wind speed, wind direction, temperature etc.

• Configurable metric conversion (V5.4)
• Connects to weather station via RS-232 Com Port 2, Baud rate 19200 bps
• Connects the Modbus RTU network via RS-232 or RS-485.
• Modbus slave address selectable from 1 to 16.
• Selectable Modbus RTU baud rate of 2400, 4800, 9600 or 19200 bps
• Selectable Modbus RTU parity none, odd, even
